Python is a very pleasant language because it is kept very simple and avoids certain things like semicolons.
I learned this language by dealing with the Linux operating system.
This website also uses Python as the back-end language.
PHP is language used in websites, it's not very popular because it allows a lot of errors, which makes code very messy.
I learned PHP in an apprenticeship and later used it for 2 websites. However, I was not particularly convinced of this language.
JavaScript is very often used in websites and programs. It makes websites more dynamic.
I taught myself JavaScript and the API jQuery because I wanted to achieve things on websites that were not possible with pure HTML.
HTML and CSS are script or description languages, they serve as the basic structure and design of a website.
I learned both in one apprenticeship. However, before that and still today, I picked up a lot of knowledge on the side when I was doing anything in the field of websites.
Raster graphics are the everyday graphics that surround us. They consist of a grid arrangement of pixels, each one color. Photos, for example, are usually raster graphics.
I started editing simple images in Paint out of sheer boredom around 2012. Later, I went one step at a time and faced more complex images, from textures to elaborate logos. That's how I found my way into image editing.
I spent most of my time in the program Paint.NET. But I also already found my way into Photoshop and GIMP. I stayed with the latter.
Basically, vector graphics are just points in a coordinate system that are given specific instructions. For example, 2 points should connect for a line, others connect and result in an area. The advantage over raster graphics is that they use significantly less storage space and are particularly suitable for icons or logos due to their simplicity.
I first encountered them during my apprenticeship, after that I learned to understand them better and use them primarily in web design.
I am already familiar with the programs Illustrator and Inkscape.
Desktop publishing or DTP is a document made up of text and graphics that later become books, magazines, etc.
The difference between a DTP program and Word, for example, is that DTP programs go much deeper. In Word, it's all about writing a text and they're all about design, they allow objects to be placed with millimeter precision or the use of vector graphics.
I had something to do with InDesign during my apprenticeship and privately I discovered the Scribus program, since then I no longer want to use Word voluntarily.
Models are objects that, similar to vector graphics, basically consist of points that are mathematically connected. Only in 3 dimensional space. These are used for everything from video games to movies.
Models and animating them was a bit of a weird path for me. I learned these mainly through the game Minecraft, because I have to change in-game models for resource packs. For this reason I used some very specific programs that were only developed for this. Later I got into more complex models and also discovered Blender for myself.
I learned how to use the programs Cubik Studio and Blockbench, which are specialized for Minecraft, and later I learned a little bit about Blender.
